Neurosurgery
Department of Neurosurgery at ASA Hospital Sarajevo provides specialist medical care for patients with diseases and injuries affecting the brain, spine and skull base. Team of experienced, internationally trained neurosurgeons is involved in the diagnosis and surgical treatment of a wide range of neurosurgical conditions, including degenerative spinal disorders, brain and spinal cord tumours, cerebral aneurysms, vascular malformations and neurotrauma.
Department’s work is guided by five principles encompassed in the P.O.I.N.T. concept: precision, objectivity, innovation, nurturing care and teamwork. Each treatment plan is tailored to the individual patient, with clinical decisions based on current standards of care, scientific evidence and the team’s expertise. The use of advanced neurosurgical techniques and technology, including microsurgical, endoscopic and minimally invasive approaches, is aimed at ensuring surgical precision and preserving neurological function. Particular emphasis is placed on continuous patient care, from the initial consultation and surgical treatment through to postoperative recovery, with a multidisciplinary team approach to treatment planning and delivery.
