How to Request a "Second Opinion":

Inquiry for a second opinion regarding your health condition.
After this, you will receive a response email with payment instructions and a link to access the Medical Documentation Exchange Platform, where you will upload your medical findings. In a subsequent email, you will receive a one-time password to access the platform, ensuring secure document transfer.
Below are the instructions and further steps you need to take to securely submit your medical documentation:
- Enter general information.
- In the next field, confirm your consent for your medical data to be reviewed and processed in accordance with the Personal Data
- Protection Law to optimize and personalize the service you will receive, as indicated in the second field.
- In the "Communication Hospital – Patient" field (notes related to medical documentation), specify if you have any comments regarding your health condition.
- In the "Request" field, upload your request that you submitted via email.
- In the "Medical Documentation" field, upload your medical documentation by clicking the "Upload" button:
- You can upload an unlimited number of documents/images within this field; each document must be uploaded individually by clicking "Upload."
- In the payment instructions field, two attachments have been included (Attachment 1 - payment instructions for Bosnia and Herzegovina; Attachment 2 - payment instructions for international payments).
- The final step is to accept the offer, or if you do not agree with the offer, to reject it in the control line.

Can I receive treatment using my health insurance card?
Currently our hospital is unable to provide services through health insurance card. However, we are actively working to ensure access to ASA Bolnica healthcare services for patients with mandatory health insurance.
We are in the process of negotiating with Health Insurance Institutes to reach an agreement that will allow you to utilize certain services at our hospital. Once an official agreement is established, ASA Bolnica will inform the public and our patients about the new options available.
Cantonal health funds in Bosnia and Herzegovina cover diagnostic and treatment costs at private healthcare institutions to varying degrees, in accordance with their internal rules and procedures. We encourage you to check with your Health Insurance Institute to find out if your treatment will be reimbursed and to what extent.
