Selma Jusufović, MD, PhD

Specialist in Internal Medicine, Subspecialist in Endocrinology and Diabetology

Dr. Selma Jusufović has been actively practicing endocrinology for 20 years. She is a specialist in internal medicine and a subspecialist in endocrinology and diabetology. She is specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of endocrine disorders and women’s reproductive health. Additionally, she is trained in thyroid, parathyroid, and neck ultrasound as well as in managing diabetes through insulin pump therapy (CSII/CGM).

Dr. Jusufović is a member of the European Society of Endocrinology and the International Menopause Society. In October 2024, she received certification from the North American Menopause Society as a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP), recognizing her expertise in menopause and women’s health. She continues her practical training in women’s endocrine health at the National Center for Infertility and Gender Endocrinology at the University Clinical Center of Serbia in Belgrade.

She completed postgraduate training in thyroid ultrasound and clinical thyroidology at Rebro Clinical Hospital in Zagreb and abdominal ultrasound training at the University Clinical Center Tuzla. She also trained in CSII (insulin pump therapy) at the University Hospital in Vienna and at the Medtronic Academy. In 2024, she completed clinical endocrinology training at Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Jusufović holds a master's degree in thyroid diseases and later earned a doctorate in diabetes, achieving the academic title of Doctor of Science. She is employed at the Endocrinology Clinic of the University Clinical Center Sarajevo and the SSST University School of Medicine.

She is the author of numerous scientific articles published in medical journals, as well as book chapters in the fields of endocrinology and medical ethics. She actively participates in international congresses and collaborates with the University Hospital in Vienna.
