Dr. Buljugić is a specialist in physical medicine and rehabilitation with over 30 years of experience in the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation, as well as sports medicine and physiotherapy.
Throughout his career, he has been the official physician for the men's handball and Davis Cup tennis teams and an associate member of the medical team for the Bosnia and Herzegovina basketball national team.
He is the founder of the "Sporticus" medical center, which approaches physical and sports medicine, rehabilitation, and prevention in a unique way.
Dr. Buljugić is actively involved in the prevention and rehabilitation of various painful conditions such as cervical, lower back, and shoulder pain syndromes, spinal deformities (scoliosis, kyphosis, hyperlordosis), postural analysis, and functional muscle tests, pedobarographic analysis, and thermographic diagnostics. He is particularly successful in rehabilitating sports injuries, applying ultrasound diagnostics for the locomotor system, developing spinal deformities, and other segments of the musculoskeletal system, as well as in the prevention and treatment of conditions such as flat feet and the consequences of sports injuries.
Proper growth and development of children is an area of particular interest to Dr. Buljugić, who believes that successful development lies in controlled physical or sports activity. He has therefore created many projects in this field in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He is the creator of the protocol that uses Computerized Postural Analysis, Mobee Fit/dynamic computer analysis of body part mobility range, Pedobarography/computer analysis of support status, and dynamic functional tests, known as the "B protocol."
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Buljugić is an active lecturer at the Faculty of Kinesiology at the University of Sarajevo, where he shares his knowledge with future generations of professionals. He also participates in numerous domestic and international congresses in the fields of physical and sports medicine, and the Sporticus Medical Center serves as an educational base for students of the Faculty of Health Studies at the University of Sarajevo.
He has been appointed as an assistant professor in the subjects of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Kinesiotherapy, Kinesiology, and Sports Medicine.
His professional engagement also includes the position of representative of the Acibadem health group in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where he coordinates professional gatherings and educational events between Turkish and Bosnian doctors, enabling the exchange of knowledge and experience.
For patients with complex diagnoses, he helps obtain second opinions, organizes treatments outside of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and facilitates access to the best possible medical services.
In addition to his clinical and academic engagement, Dr. Buljugić is a co-author of publications and professional articles in the fields of physical medicine and rehabilitation, sports injuries, and prevention.
