Primarius Dr Kapetanović is a specialist in neuropsychiatry with extensive clinical experience in the diagnosis and treatment of neurological and psychiatric disorders. She graduated from the University of Sarajevo, Faculty of Medicine, where she also completed her specialist training in neuropsychiatry.

Her professional experience includes work in a general practice in Velika Kladuša, the Institute for Alcoholism and Other Addictions in Sarajevo, the Psychiatric Clinic of the University Clinical Center of Sarajevo, and the Institute for Occupational Health of Transport Workers in Sarajevo.
She has worked in departments of general psychiatry, intensive care, and the emergency psychiatric unit, and has provided ongoing consultative and specialist examinations of patients in neurology and neurosurgery.
On several occasions, she participated in the work of the Goražde Medical Center as part of the staffing support provided by the University Clinical Center of Sarajevo, where her activities included the general neurology outpatient clinic, hospitalized neurological patients, and emergency psychiatric consultations.

Throughout her professional career, she has been involved in the treatment of alcohol dependence and other addiction disorders with accompanying neurological and psychiatric comorbidities, as well as in the work of the Counseling Center for Narcotic Addiction within the methadone program.

She has participated in numerous professional trainings and international conferences, including the School for Psychotrauma (University of Missouri, Columbia, USA) and the congresses of the European Psychiatric Association (EPA) and the European Academy of Neurology (EAN).

Her main professional interests include the diagnosis and treatment of common neurological disorders such as headaches, spinal pain syndromes, dizziness, stroke, peripheral nerve damage, neuropathic pain, preventive neurological examinations, and psychosyndromes associated with neurological disorders.

She is also actively involved in the education of young physicians in the field of neuropsychiatry.
