Do we need to schedule an appointment  for examination, diagnostics, or lab tests?

To receive appropriate medical care, we recommend scheduling an appointment in advance for all types of examinations and diagnostic procedures.
We understand that emergencies can arise unexpectedly, which is why we have made it possible for our patients to visit our Emergency Department without prior notice. The Emergency Department operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, providing prompt and expert assistance aimed at identifying, monitoring, and initiating treatment for patients with life-threatening injuries and illnesses.

We offer several convenient options for scheduling your appointment according to your preferences:

  • By visiting the hospital in person at the info desk:
    • If you prefer a personal approach, our reception staff is available to schedule your appointment during hospital working hours.

Two options:

  • Use the highlighted form labeled: "Send Inquiry" to book your appointment.
  • Click on the Viber icon displayed on the contact form to schedule via Viber messages.
  • Via Viber on ASA Bolnica business channel:
    • Simply send a message through Viber on ASA Bolnica business channel with your desired appointment date.
       
What is the procedure for canceling or rescheduling an appointment?

We understand that life circumstances can change, and we are flexible when it comes to canceling or rescheduling appointments.

Here are a few ways to do so:

  • By visiting the hospital in person at the info desk:

Can I receive treatment using my health insurance card?

Currently our hospital is unable to provide services through health insurance card. However, we are actively working to ensure access to ASA Bolnica healthcare services for patients with mandatory health insurance.

We are in the process of negotiating with Health Insurance Institutes to reach an agreement that will allow you to utilize certain services at our hospital. Once an official agreement is established, ASA Bolnica will inform the public and our patients about the new options available.

Cantonal health funds in Bosnia and Herzegovina cover diagnostic and treatment costs at private healthcare institutions to varying degrees, in accordance with their internal rules and procedures. We encourage you to check with your Health Insurance Institute to find out if your treatment will be reimbursed and to what extent.

Do you have parking?

Yes, our hospital has a parking area located on the -2 level of the hospital building. We are pleased to inform you that parking is free for all our patients and can be used during your stay at ASA Bolnica

From which street can cars enter the hospital premises?

The car entrance to the hospital is from Džemala Bijedića Street, at number 127.

Free parking for our patients is available on the -2 floor and can be used during your stay at ASA Bolnica.

Is Internet available?

We are pleased to inform you that we provide free internet access to ensure comfort and connectivity during your visit to our hospital.

When did ASA Bolnica start operating?

ASA Bolnica began operating on Saturday, April 6, 2024. Since then, you can book an appointment for our services. We look forward to providing you with the appropriate medical care and attention.

Can patients from other cantons be treated?

We are pleased to inform you that we welcome patients from other cantons, offering them the opportunity for high-quality treatment.

If you choose to use our medical services, our Finance Department will gladly provide all the necessary information about costs and payment methods. Our goal is to deliver top-notch healthcare with transparency and clear communication.Cantonal Health Insurance Institutes finance the provision of deficient services for the current year in private healthcare institutions. Please check with your Health Insurance Institute to find out if your treatment will be reimbursed and to what extent.

We are located in the Otoka neighborhood at Džemala Bijedića Street, number 127, Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

How can I reach you?

Whichever mode of transportation you choose, it is easy to find us. ASA Bolnica is located in the Otoka neighborhood in Sarajevo, near the main road.

Public transport:

Bus:  Sarajevo has a well-developed network of bus lines. All lines on the route Baščaršija – Ilidža, Baščaršija – Dobrinja stop at Otoka station, which is 2 minutes away from ASA Bolnica.

Tram:  You can use all tram lines, with one of the stops being the Otoka tram station, located about 3 minutes from ASA Bolnica.

Taxi:

You can order a taxi by calling a local taxi service.

Private vehicle:

If you own a car or use car rental services, you can follow navigation to Džemala Bijedića 127, where free parking awaits you.

Walking or cycling:

If Džemala Bijedića 127 is close to your current location, consider walking or cycling as sustainable options. You can arrive from the following streets: Džemala Bijedića, Mehmeda Alagića, or Bulevar Meše Selimovića.

Is parking charged?

No, parking is free for all our patients and can be used during your stay at ASA Bolnica.

Do you have organized transportation for people with disabilities?

Yes, we can arrange organized transportation for people with disabilities. It is necessary to notify us in advance so that we can organize it in a timely manner. You can make this request through our contact center or via email address: info@asabolnica.ba.

Do you have a taxi service?

Unfortunately, ASA Bolnica does not have its own taxi service. However, our reception staff will be happy to assist you by calling taxi for you.

Working hours and visits

What are the hospital’s working hours?

ASA Bolnica working hours are as follows:

Monday - Friday , 08:00 to 20:00 for all outpatient (consultative - specialist) and diagnostic examinations.

Hospital departments are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including our Emergency Care Unit, to ensure continuous medical support.

Do you work on weekends?

How can services at ASA Bolnica be paid for?

Payment can me made using debit, credit, and business cards issued by domestic and international banks, including Visa, MasterCard. In addition to one-time payments, we also offer installment payments options in accordance with the terms of your bank.

  • With voluntary health insurance policy

We cooperate with all domestic and foreign insurance companies that offere voluntary health insurance services. Please check with your insurer regarding the scope and use of ASA Bolnica services based on your selected insurance package.

  • With compulsory health insurance card

We are currently negotiating with health insurance institutes to reach an agreement that will allow you to utilize certain services at our hospital. Once an official agreement is established, ASA Bolnica will inform the public and our patients about the new possibilities.
