Emir Gušo, dr. med.

He is a member of the European and National Association of Radiologists, as well as the European Society for Hybrid Imaging.

During his studies, he gained professional experience in clinics in Barcelona, Spain, and Kuwait City, Kuwait. He attended the Human Rights School organized by the Helsinki Committee for Human Rights in BiH and Republika Srpska, and also served as the Coordinator of Youth Groups for the Helsinki Committee for Human Rights in BiH.

He participated in the State Department USA’s Young Leaders program, as well as other youth leadership programs organized by the Council of Europe. He served as the President of the Assembly of BoHeMSA (Association of Medical Students in BiH).

In 2017, he completed his radiodiagnostics specialization at the University Clinical Center Sarajevo. Over the past seven years, he has worked on complex tasks as a radiology diagnostics specialist with significant contributions to emergency radiology, neuroradiology, musculoskeletal, and pediatric radiology at the General Hospital "Prim. Dr. Abdulah Nakas" in Sarajevo. Together with his colleagues at the General Hospital, he introduced non-vascular interventional procedures into daily practice within the institution. His expertise includes the interpretation of X-rays, ultrasonography, color Doppler, and CT and MRI scans. He has a particular interest in neuroradiology, MSK (musculoskeletal system), pediatric radiology, hybrid and molecular imaging, and interventional radiology.

He is an active participant in numerous international and regional seminars and congresses and has published dozens of articles in indexed journals in the fields of medical informatics and radiology. He is also a co-author of a book chapter titled "Role of Imaging in Small Bowel Crohn's Disease - Endoscopy in Small Bowel Disease."

He completed pediatric radiology training at the Institute for Mother and Child Health "Dr. Vukan Čupić" in Serbia. He also attended OMI seminars organized by the American-Austrian Foundation (AAF) in Salzburg on pediatric diagnostics and diagnostic imaging.
